The MIRI Research Foundation is proud to introduce its newly established Counseling Program, offering integrated Certificate and Degree pathways designed to meet the growing demand for qualified mental health and counseling professionals. This new initiative reflects MIRI’s expanding commitment to human well-being, social stability, and sustainable development.

Counseling is no longer merely a personal option; it has become an essential professional field that supports healthy communities and long-term human development. Professionally trained counselors play a critical role in supporting the emotional well-being and healthy development of youth, restoring and sustaining marriage and family relationships, enhancing psychological adjustment and quality of life among older adults, promoting effective mental health management and crisis prevention, and building strong psychological support systems within communities and organizations.

In response to these evolving societal needs, the MIRI Research Foundation, in collaboration with Midwest University, has established the MIRI Institute of Counseling and Psychology Program. This newly launched program brings together certificate-level professional training and accredited U.S. university degree pathways within a single, structured framework, designed to cultivate counseling professionals with both theoretical depth and practical competence.

The program is organized in progressive stages, beginning with a foundational Certificate Program, followed by an Advanced Certificate Program emphasizing applied practice, and culminating in a Professional License Program focused on developing expert-level counseling competence. Participants may further advance into accredited U.S. university degree programs, including the Master of Arts in Counseling or Psychology and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counseling or Psychology.

Graduates who earn these degrees may qualify to serve as university faculty in counseling and psychology. Across all stages, the program emphasizes immediate real-world application through case-based learning, specialization tracks, structured practicums, and professional supervision.

The MIRI Institute Counseling Program is open to individuals with an interest in counseling and psychology, as well as professionals in education, social services, youth development, corporate, and community sectors, including those preparing for a professional career transition into counseling. Counseling is not simply a technique; it is a professional discipline dedicated to understanding people, restoring relationships, and sustaining the psychological health of society.

The expertise developed through this program will become a vital human resource for the future. The MIRI Institute Counseling Program offers a clear and structured pathway to grow as a professional counselor, educator, and leader—including the opportunity to serve as a university professor in this essential field. Now is the time to step into professional excellence.
